Disco Pride Mass —Sunday, June 30th, 11:00am

St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery will celebrate 2019 WorldPride and the 50th Anniversary Year of the Stonewall Uprisings with a glorious Disco Mass! We’ll sing and dance our praise to God for being made just as we are—all genders and all sexualities. Music will be performed by Nhojj (the first gay indie artist to reach #1 on the MTV Music chart), Linda Pino, Dorian Lake, Jeannine Otis, the St. Mark’s choir and band, and Vissi Dance Theater will perform as well.

Preaching is Dr. Louie Crew Clay (best known as Louie Crew), one of the most transformative leaders in the history of the Episcopal Church, having inspired the movement to open the Church’s doors to all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. We’re deeply honored to have him join us, and we hope you will too.

Pride ribbon project

As a diverse and inclusive Episcopal Parish, St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery is committed to expressing God’s love.

During NYC Pride Month 2019 | WorldPride, and the 50th anniversary year of the Stonewall Uprising, we celebrate the spirit of LGBTQ people across all times and places with our Pride Ribbon Project.

We use our fence for public witness. Each colored ribbon is inscribed with a name, place or organization—those in the struggle who have inspired the movement with expressive actions, thoughts, words and deeds. Through presenting this small sample of leaders, we honor the courage, creativity, energy, spirit and pride of the entire LGBTQ community.
