As the host parish, St. Mark’s will offer storage space and participate in making sandwiches and celebrating the Eucharist about once a month.
Art Show in the Parish Hall: The Garvey Flag
Ongoing
The show features works by Eva Kocher, Dominique Mills , Maya Howard-Watts, Oji Haynes, and Myles Gable. Curated by Donyel Ivy-Royal. From the curator: The Garvey flag represents not only African-diaspora, liberation and strength; it is also a symbol and continuation of how our community is capable of transforming, transcending and beautifying what is around us. Much like soul food. These artists collectively represent these qualities and by utilizing the tools at their disposal, they continue on an everlasting legacy of black artists who help shape the art world. “Put your foot in anything you do by any means necessary.”
